| On Monday October 11, 2004 Sweetums, Rommel, and I travelled to Rhode Island to take the American Temperament Test Society's temperament test (ATTS). "The ATTS test focuses on and measures different aspects of temperament such as stability, shyness, agressiveness, friendliness, as well as a dog's instinct for protectiveness towards its handler and/or self preservation. The test is designed for the betterment of all breeds of dogs and takes into consideration each breeds inherent tendencies. Because of breed specific legislation and negative publicity associated with many breeds of dogs, temperament testing has assumed an important role for today's dog fancier". We had a terrific day! Both Sweetums and Rommel passed all phases of their tests, and each received their TT title! It was a very educational and exciting day. |
