On September 30, 2006 I travelled to Westfield, MA for the AEDCONE (American Eskimo Dog Club of New England) dog shows with a car full of frenchies! It was Sweetums' first time in the conformation ring since having the puppies. She showed under Judge Diane Raymond in show 1 and Judge Dan Crutchfield in show 2. She was awarded 1st, Best female, and BOB in both shows. Sweetums also entered her first UKC obedience trial under Judge Diane Cohn and received a qualifying score of 182.5 for her first UKC leg toward her CD. In the afternoon a puppy match was held, and through the generosity of two junior handlers offering their assistance I was able to observe Sweetums' puppies in the ring. Kasie Joe and Julia did a fabulous job handling the pups. Many thanks to them for making the puppies first exerience a wonderful one. Peach was awarded third place. All are pictured below. |
