On Sunday June 19, 2005 Rommel and I went to the Concord Dog Training Club Rally event held indoors at the Topsfield Fairgrounds in Topsfield, MA. Mr. Stephen Hersey was the judge. Rommel was awarded his first qualifying leg in the Rally Novice B class with a score of 83. Rommel also participated in Novice B obedience, and received a bumper qualifying leg with a score of 192.0 under judge Philip Rustad (see our obedience page 2005 news).

Rommel and I traveled to Warwick Rhode Island to the Eastern English Springer Spaniel Club to participate in Novice B obedience as well as Rally Novice B. The show was held outside. Rommel was magnificent. He scored a 192.5 for a first place award under judge Mary Diesem (see our obedience page 2005 news for a photo and info). Rommel then showed in his Rally Novice B class under judge Donna Cassista and was in a four way tie for first place with a score of 95. In Rally time is a deciding factor, and is used to break ties when necessary. Rommel and I had the slowest time, and were awarded fourth place with a cute beaver dog squeaky toy as well as our second qualifying leg.
The Eastern English Springer Spaniel Club held a second show in Warwick Rhode Island. Rommel and I attended and entered the Rally Novice B. We received a qualifying score of 84 for his third leg under judge Donna Cassista, and received his RN Title from the AKC!
